Kenya’s best bloggers feted at Bake awards

The sixth edition of the Bloggers Association of Kenya (Bake) awards was held on Saturday where George Magunga was declared the best blogger in 2016.
The winners of various categories were declared from 10000 entries across the country.
The awards, started in 2012, initially had 13 categories but have increased to 23 over the six editions that have taken place.
Some of the new categories are technology, photography, creative writing, governance, county, religious/spirituality, human rights, women and girls and empowerment, social issues and active citizenship.
This year’s judges also included Sally Kahiu, Jackson Biko, Martin Mburu, Mutua Maingi, Samuel Mbugua and Naomi Mutua.
