Purity Ngirici, the feisty Kirinyaga Woman Representative, has issued four warnings to DP Ruto, which many fear may lead to her leaving the UDA camp, with the fiery lawmaker revealing that she is reconsidering her political position in UDA.The first were the verbal warnings, in which she conveyed her displeasure with Waiguru's admission to the fold, claiming that the Kirinyaga County head is a seasoned thief who specializes in corruption.
When Ruto failed to act, she took matters into her own hands and decided to take a sabbatical from UDA activities, which was viewed as a boycott.
The problem is so acute that Ngirici has missed some of DP Ruto's key rallies in the Mt Kenya region, where she has been a frequent presence, in recent weeks.
She also missed Catherine Waruguru, the Laikipia Women's Representative, being welcomed to UDA on Tuesday.
Former employees have slammed Purity Ngirici after she made controversial remarks about Waiguru, revealing embarrassing details.
Ngirici's decision to consistently miss key UDA events has raised questions about whether she is reconsidering her political position. When asked why she has suddenly gone silent from party politics, particularly since Waiguru joined UDA in late October, the lawmaker responded affirmatively.
The Woman Representative who wants to unseat Wiguru in 2022 would then offer a verbal warning, implying that she would desert UDA and DP Ruto.
Ngirici stated in an interview with a local magazine that she has taken a vacation from UDA politics to rethink her political movements, adding that she will make the best political move for her she believes that if she does so, her fans will follow her in whatever route she chooses.
"Regardless of the pedestal I'd be standing on, I'm convinced that my followers will follow me," Ngirici stated during the interview.
The congressman went on to say that she must carefully consider her political move since it will have a significant impact on whether or not she wins the next elections.
"I've taken a step back to properly consider my alternatives before making my next political move," she said.
The attacks between Ngirici and Waiguru have intensified in recent days.
In a speech to a group of ladies in Kirinyaga, Ngirici claimed that governor Waiguru had orchestrated a scheme to steal land allotted for the Kenya Medical Research Institute (Kemri) in Mwea Constituency, Kirinyaga County, claiming that Waiguru is only good when it comes to corruption.
"You will not hear me requesting that the government fire one of us because he is assisting our people on any given day." If you see Waiguru fighting Kibicho, it's because Kibicho has given Kemri territory. She had opposed the proposal in order to take the land," Ngirici explained.
