Mr Ogola was arrested by Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) officials in Nairobi and taken to the DCI central command for cross examination.

The previous Prisons supervisor was captured close by Kamiti Maximum Security Prison head Charles Mutembei and his representative.

President Uhuru Kenyatta designated Brigadier (Rtd) John Kibaso Warioba as the new Commissioner General of the Kenya Prisons Service on Wednesday.

The arrangement followed the excusal of Mr Wycliffe Ogalo only hours sooner.

As per an official statement by State House Spokesperson Kanze Dena-Mararo, the choice was made during a high-profile meeting with security supervisors on Wednesday morning.

"The arrangement follows the instructions to the Head of State from the Ministry liable for Correctional Services with respect to the security breaks at the Kamiti Maximum Security Prison that prompted the getaway of three detainees.

"The preparation noticed the convincing public premium regarding that situation and the need to settle in responsibility in the positions of the initiative of all security organs; out of appreciation for the numerous Kenyans who have lost their lives and the tremendous penances made by all Kenyans and especially the security organs to upset, destroy and rout fear organizations," the assertion read partially.

Kamiti Prison Escape

Three fear suspects - Musharaf Abdalla, Mohamed Ali Abikar and Joseph Juma Odhiambo - got away from Kamiti Maximum Security Prison on November 15, 2021 at around 1:00 a.m.

Advising general society on the break, DCI offered an award of Sh60 Million to anybody with data that might prompt the capture of the three.
