Mbaka said the country's youth should take advantage of the digital employment program which is a government program that provides training for young people to work online through the ajiradigital.go.ke system.
Mbaka said the government has also set up digital activity centers in parliamentary constituencies which he said, along with the digital employment program, have enabled 1.2 million young people to participate in online work.
Mbaka said the information and communication technology council is expanding the supply of Fiber Optic cable cables after the first phase of a distance of 10,000 kilometers to enable more parts of the country to connect to the internet.
He said the move would enable young people to use technology to seek international employment opportunities and self-employment through their creativity.
According to the secretary, the government has provided the right environment for investors to create local digital devices in line with the Jubilee government's four main agendas.
