Police Are Investigating Allegations of Abduction of Dennis Itumbi

Police have launched an investigation into allegations of kidnapping of online journalist Dennis Itumbi in Thindigua in Kiambu County.

In a statement, police spokesman Bruno Shioso said Itumbi's abduction was reported at Thindigua police station on Thursday.

Shioso urged Kenyans to remain calm as police conduct investigations into the case and refrain from rumors.

He urged the public to report the matter to the police via 999,112 or 0800 722 203. Itumbi is alleged to have continued receiving treatment for injuries sustained at a hospital in Nairobi.

Itumbi's brother, by the name of David, said at midnight on twitter that they had managed to find Itumbi in the same hospital with severe beatings.

On Thursday afternoon after it was reported that it was taken by unknown individuals in the Thindigwa area of ​​Kiambu County who used a private Toyota Premio when he left the barber.
