It is said that it does not matter if your spouse is a twin or a family member with a twin family. The only one who can produce twins is a woman. If it means a woman who is twins or her sisters such as sisters, mothers have a history of having twins or they are twins then that woman is more likely to have twins.

For example: A woman whose uncle's wife has twins does not give her a chance to get twins because she has no biological relationship with her uncle's wife. But a woman whose sister has twins gives her the opportunity to have twins because they have a direct relationship.

Let's learn one step at a time. First let's find out how a pregnancy is conceived. And then let's see how twin pregnancies are conceived.

How is a pregnancy conceived?

The ovulation period is when a woman can get pregnant. Ovulation is the time when a large egg or ready-made egg emerges from the uterus through the fallopian tubes. The egg, fortunately, in contact with the sperm is fertilized within 24 hours (after which the egg loses its ability). If the egg is fertilized within that time and then implants in the uterus then the pregnancy will be conceived. If the egg is not fertilized it is excreted as menstrual blood.

How do twins occur?

Here let us remember that there are two types of twins: Identical twins and Fraternal twins. Incompatible twins occur when a woman lays two eggs towards the uterus. This means that it is the female or the female body that causes the two eggs to be released together. These eggs then meet with the sperm where they are fertilized within a specified time and then settle in the uterus. So even if a man were to produce one million sperm but if a female egg came out of one then the baby that would be found would be only one.

That is the side of the fraternal twins. In the case of identical twins (Identical twins) the story is a little different. After an egg is fertilized by a sperm and attaches itself to the uterus for reasons unknown scientifically it decides to divide and form twin babies. These twins are usually very similar and are of the same sex as fraternal twins who may be of the same sex or same-sex.

From the above information it appears that identical or similar twins are caused by a woman who for one reason or another her body releases two eggs or divides her fertilized egg and causes twins. Although there has been a heated argument where some people have had opinions especially on the side of identical twins by saying that the sperm becomes stronger and thus divides the egg. I am not sure about that but many studies by scientists say that a woman is more likely to have twins or her biological siblings.

Other factors that may contribute to twin children

1. A woman from a family in which women have a history of having twins.

2. Women of African and American descent.

3. Women who become pregnant at an older age, starting at 35 years.

4. Obese women and tall ones.
