US Votes To elect New President Today

U.S. citizens are voting today (03.11.2020) to elect a new president among Republican Donald Trump running for a second term or his Democratic rival who is also a former vice president, Joe Biden. 

Until last Monday, Biden was ahead of Trump in a public referendum ahead of today's election held under the cloud of a corona virus epidemic that has killed hundreds of thousands of people in the United States. 

Trump, the 45th president of the United States, is proud of his record of economic recovery and significant reduction in unemployment but is widely criticized for his handling of the corona virus epidemic. 

Biden, a left-wing moderate politician, has pledged to protect the right of Americans to access health care, benefits for the elderly and create new jobs through the renewable energy sector. 

The race is raging and tensions are running high after the election, after President Trump threatened to declare victory even before the results were completed.
