Remember Kevin Wekesa and Tony Omondi are called Heroes

Remember Kevin Wekesa and Tony Omondi from Mwamba RFC rugby club have been called up for the first time to join the national rugby team with seven players on each side the famous Hero.

The duo have been named by head coach Innocent Simiyu for the first ever in the 2021/2022 World Rugby World Cup in Dubai between the 26th and 27th of this month.

Coach Simiyu has also named the team Edmund Anya for the first time since the 2018-2019 season.

"Wekesa is a very talented player and he could be like Andrew Amonde" said Simiyu.

The IRB behind South Africa and the United Kingdom have been drawn in Group B along the Dubai line along with the USA, Argentina and Spain.

Kenya will open the schedule against the USA on November 26, before wrestling with Argentina and finally closing the work against Spain.
