Assist the Elderly Raila, He'll Only Be in Office for a Year - Wamalwa

Defense Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa and his DAP Kenya brigade have urged the Luhya people to rally around former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, claiming that he is too elderly to serve more than one term.

Speaking in Bungoma town with DAP K party chairman Wafula Wamunyinyi and Tongaren MP Eseli simiyu, Eugene claimed it was safer for the Luhya people to support an elderly person like Odinga who would not remain in power for long.

He said that, in contrast to Ruto, who was youthful and enthusiastic, he would have to serve for two terms, delaying the community's ascension to power.

"As the Luhya community, we should select the easiest path in succession politics," Eugene said. "Odinga is elderly and will only serve one term, so if we are loyal, it will be simple for us to be in the major succession politics."

Eugene informed the sparsely attended audience that he was obliged to start the DAPK party after seeing the FordKenya party's ongoing squabbles.

"I realized the need to divide brothers when I observed my brothers Eseli and Wamunyinyi quarrelling with Wetang'ula, so I urged them to join hands and establish DAP-K," he stated.

According to the CS, the organization would cooperate with Azimio la Umoja as directed by President Uhuru Kenyatta in order to promote the handshake.

Senator Moses Wetang'ula of Bungoma, on the other hand, was chastised by him for providing contradictory signals about whether he supports Raila Odinga or Deputy President William Ruto.

"They should be like us, who have taken a hard stance," Eugene remarked. "You can't be with the president during the day and his deputy during the night."

Wafula Wamunyinyi, a Kanduyi MP, stated they split with Wetang'ula because he was pressuring them to vote for Ruto.

"We wanted to make FordKenya our party," Wamunyinyi added, "but we were being driven to go somewhere we didn't want to go."

He said that paving the ground for a Eugene president entails backing Odinga so that when he steps down, Eugene would be in a strategic position.

Eseli Simiyu, MP for Tongaren, asked constituents to join the new DAP-K party.

Ford, he said.

Kenya was now a shadow of its former existence, with DAP-K being the only viable choice.

Former Bungoma Women representative Reginalda Wanyonyi, Bumula politician Jack Wamboka, and Trans Nzoia speaker Joshua Werunga were among those who attended.
