Dramatic events were observed at the Makongeni Police Station in Thika when people discovered that a child was not crippled, as they had previously assumed.

When a resident went to answer the call of nature, he realized that the youngster was not crippled.

"I was taken aback when I saw the youngster get out of his wheelchair and stroll to the hedge to pee on his own.

"Then he came back and curled back into place to seem to be disabled," he said.

Surprised by the change of events, he raised an alert and drew the attention of the locals, who had always assumed the youngster was paralyzed.

Before he was caught, the crafty teen had already amassed a sizable sum of money from unsuspecting passers-by.

He was frog-matched to a neighboring police station and arrested for interrogation.

It's been claimed that the boy's parents were using him to extort money from unsuspecting members of the public.
