Dennis Itumbi, Deputy President William Ruto's Digital Strategist, was allegedly kidnapped and tortured last Thursday, leaving him with significant injuries.
This comes after the number plate of the vehicle used by the kidnappers to abduct Itumbi was uncovered and made public by authorities.
The police, on the other hand, were even more perplexed by the outcomes when they followed the placard.
The owner of the license plate of the car used in Itumbi's kidnapping, according to search results, is none other than the Bomet Travelers Sacco.
When authorities questioned employees of the phony license plate's owner, they claimed they were uninformed of what was going on in the country, prompting police to utilize a different approach to discover the perpetrators because the license plates never stay concealed.
Kimani Ichungwa, a Kikuyu MP, asked the police to disregard the license plate in their search for the criminals.
According to reports, the plate belonged to a Mitsubishi wagon wagon.
