Senator Cleophas Malala of Kakamega County has been summoned by the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) for his comments on the scheduled Bukhungu stadium gathering on December 31.

"We have brought Senator Cleophas Malala to account for his unfortunate and unjustified utterances allegedly intended to bar a political candidate from holding a meeting at Bukhungu stadium in Kakamega on December 31, 2021," NCIC chairperson Samuel Kobia said in a statement on Monday.

The senator is also a prime candidate for inclusion in the wall of shame, according to Kobia, as well as facing the full weight of the law.

Malala threatened to disrupt the conference on Sunday, stating that ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi had not been invited, despite the fact that he is among the region's leaders.

"My bedroom is in Kakamega." I want to inform them that unless Musalia gives them permission, they should not travel to Kakamega on December 31.

"I want to state unequivocally that there will be no meeting on the 31st at Bukhungu stadium," Malala declared.

Some political brokers, according to Malala, are planning a conference to endorse ODM leader Raila Odinga as the favored presidential candidate for the 2022 elections.
